Special Requests
Frequently, I receive requests to create
truly unique quilts, made from a selected grouping of fabrics.
If you have a desire to create something special, using fabrics
you have or are willing to select, contact me and I can give
you instructions on the amount of material you will need to
create your extra, special quilt.
If you have a special request for a special
person, and have an idea for your unique quilt, I may be able
to help. Often, I hear from friends or family members who needs
something different to reflect the unique needs or desire of an
individual or group.
In the recent past, I made a quilt for a
fireman with the local fire department. It was necessary to
shop around for some really special fabrics. Do you know how
hard it is to find fabric with fire engines that would be
suitable for an adult? If it was a small child, there are many
patterns to choose from; but, if you are an adult, you probably
wouldn't want comic caricatures represented on your personal
quilt. Or, maybe you would. Of course, that is the point.
Sometimes you need something that just isn't available at the
local department store!
For other special customers, I am often
asked to create quilts made from the clothes of a special
friend and loved one who passed away. If you saw the look on
their faces when they received their special quilts, it surly
would bring tears to your eyes. I know it did mine.
That's where I can help. If you have a
special need, send me an Email or fax describing as best you
can what it is you need. More often than not, I can make it
just as you like. The cost will be a bit higher, of course;
but, you will only be required to make a non-refundable deposit
before the work will begin. If you have or are willing to
obtain the necessary fabrics and ship them to me, this will be
taken into consideration when determining the total cost of
your truly unique quilt.
